FIELD: mechanical engineering; packing. SUBSTANCE: proposed packing panel is used in packing cartons for separating tiers of cans. Panel is made of cardboard sheet which has at least one solid ring member whose arrangement ensures adhesion between upper walls of lower tier and lower walls of upper tier, thus providing improved conditions of storage and transportation of cans in multiple-tier pack. Separating panel has cutout on outer edge for better orientation of panel on lower tier when this cutout engages with corresponding appliance. To preserve position of panel relative to cans of lower tier. Special appliance is used to lock panel in position when appliance is in engagement with cans.
