FIELD: packing facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and device for packing articles in boxes with arrangement of articles in several tiers. Tiers of articles are separated by special panel with deformable sections forming sockets between neighbor articles arranged at different sides of panel. Machine places separating panel on one of end faces of first article with provision of accurate alignment of article with deformable section. Then deformable section is deformed to form, at least partially, a socket into which end face of article is fitted, and thanks to provision of such socket, second article is installed in fixed position relative to first article and separating panel.
