FIELD: processing securities and assembling them in counted packs. SUBSTANCE: series of N sheets bearing imprinted blanks of securities, say, 100 sheets, is first checked for defective prints, positions of blanks of securities of each sheet having defective prints are loaded in computer memory. Then sheets of this series go through numbering machine provided with easily programmed computer-controlled devices. Numbering is made in this case so that all good-quality prints of blanks of securities in particular series of sheets, except for those defective, are numbered in sequence; series of numbers of N blanks of securities in same position is continuation of number sequence of those in adjacent position of blanks of securities.
