Monitoring unit generates control signal to display current time counted off by timer when coins are not introduced in coin detecting mechanism. Upon checking coins introduced signal is sent to display total sum of money found by mechanism when coins are inserted. Display unit functions to display either current time or total sum of money according to control signal sent by monitoring unit.
