FIELD: mobile monitoring devices. SUBSTANCE: device has self-propelled moving robot incorporating transmitting controller, receiver, several sensing elements, navigation system for emitting ultrasonic waves in one direction and at the same time receiving reflected waves, first microcomputer for receiving signal characterizing area and direction in which robot is to move, driving facility for producing motive force to move in forward or reverse direction and steering, facility for detecting injured surface to estimate abnormal condition of bearing surface. It also has monitoring means for receiving signal transmitted from robot and informing registered user about abnormal condition, if detected, as well as automatic communication control facility. As an alternative, device may have intruder detecting means, urgent measures taking means, and remote-control means for robot.
