FIELD: appliances to warm up and boil water, to warm up food in metal utensils or in special heat-resistant packing under field and march conditions. SUBSTANCE: portable heater includes support and fuel container. The latter is manufactured for compact structural integration with support and has closed (sealed) cells to house solid fuel elements. Support is fabricated in the form of metal plate with slits forming its separate parts that can be bent in various directions to set support in operational condition. Portable heater can have grinder with ignition filler. Each solid fuel element can carry fragment of ignition compound deposited on it. All parts of heater can be interconnected by means of stud. EFFECT: simplified design and assembly, convenient transportation, provision for independent use, enhanced efficiency of heat transfer in operational condition and high heating efficiency under extreme weather conditions. 2 cl, 6 dwg
