FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: louvers are used as barriers in windows, and also they are used in function of doors, gates, transformable partitions. Louver has L-shaped strips installed in guide members. End of smaller side of each subsequent strip is directed against end of smaller side of each preceding strip. Each of smaller ends of preceding strip is connected by hinge to middle part of larger side of each subsequent strip. Strips are installed for possible vertical reciprocal movement by means of drive unit which is connected to at least lower strip. Highest strip is connected to stationary rest which is installed in upper of guide members. Application of aforesaid embodiment of louver ensures enhanced operational reliability.
