FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: expansion bolt has expansion tags passing along its expansion zone which are released radially when screw is driven in. Expansion bolt 10 has allowance in expansion zone 18. Spaces are provided between expansion tags 14, 16 to ensure radial compression of expansion bolt 10 to nominal size and adjacency of expansion bolt with its large surface to entire or at least almost entire peripheral surface of hole wall due to complete or almost complete closing of spaces between expansion tags at radial compression of expansion bolt. Two or three expansion tags may be used and their cross-sectional area may be of different form. Expansion tags may have longitudinal grooves to direct screw being driven into expansion bolt.
