METHOD OF REDUCTION OF EXCESSIVE BODY WEIGHT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, particularly, complex methods of treatment and sanitation of organisms. SUBSTANCE: preliminarily, reasons for patient obesity and motives for undergoing of psychotherapy for reducing of excessive body weight are found out. On the basis of this information, individual psychological settings are elaborated for performance of psychotherapy and autogenic training. 3-10 seances of psychotherapy, 30 min each, are conducted. In this case, suggestions are effected in state of awake and in meditation. During seance of psychotherapy, passing circular motions by hand are executed in region of patient's brain and spinal cord. Motions are begun in region of head and finished by circular motions round each vertebra from top down over vertebra column. Simultaneously patient is suggested that activation of immunity system takes place and self-regulation is recovered. Patient is weighed every day, and if initial weight is reduced by 7-10%, low-caloric diet is prescribed for next 25-35 days, and drugs of vegetable origin are administered to improve metabolic processes. Myostimulation is performed and physical exercises on training equipment are made, at least, thrice a week, each lasting 30 min.
