FIELD: electrical equipment; multipurpose power transformers. SUBSTANCE: transformer core carries primary and secondary coils and magnetic shunt placed in core opening between coils. Shunt is made in the form of assembly of wedge-shaped prisms. Bases of prisms are shaped as right-angled trapezium or triangle and face the coils. Both parts of shunt are mounted on common rod provided with threaded section. One prism is directly secured on rod so that the latter is free to turn about its axis. Second prism is mounted on rod by means of bracket whose other end is provided with nut turned onto threaded section of rod. Loose end of rod carries handwheel. EFFECT: minimized time and force for installing shunt which is practically non-vibrating in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
