FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: tool is used for dressing, polishing and finishing of different surfaces of parts made of metal, wood, plastic and other materials. Tool has body, cylinder and flexible base provided with slots which coincide on base and cylinder. Slot made on body is shifted through 15-17 deg in circular direction. Base slot is inclined to base radius through 15-17 deg. Body has two symmetric flats. Abrasive tape bobbin is positioned inside body. One end of tape passes through slots, envelope base and enters slots again till it thrusts upon body flat and upon internal surface of cylinder. Worn-out section of abrasive tape is removed, and new section of tape is secured. One tape bobbin is sufficient to replace tape 10-15 times. EFFECT: simplified construction. 2 cl, 5 dwg
