FIELD: machine engineering, possibly grinding and polishing surfaces of curvilinear different-configuration tubes without rotation of them. SUBSTANCE: tube is worked by means of tool head with two rotating elastic tools. Working surfaces of tools are profiled according to shape of worked surface at pressing them to worked surface with force providing uniform embracing of surface along circle. Tool head is subjected to rocking motion by angle 35-45 degrees around axis coincided with axis of worked part. The last is imparted to reciprocation motion along rocking axis. Elastic portion of tool is radially divided at least by two equal parts until its boss. Tool radius is selected in such a way that it is at least by 1.2 times less than curvature radius of worked portion of tube. EFFECT: possibility of working curvilinear tubes without manual operations for polishing them. 4 dwg, 1 ex
