PIPE LINE THROTTLE VALVE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of fittings for smooth control of shutting-off flow of working medium in pipe line. SUBSTANCE: throttle valve has body with inlet and outlet parts and throttling slots formed in inlet part by coaxial telescopic movable and immovable members; in outlet part they are formed by coaxial immovable members. Movable member of throttling slot of inlet part consists of two engageable bodies of revolution; generatrix of one body has radius at center located in axis and other body is made in form of truncated cone. Immovable member of throttling slot of this part is made in form of truncated cones engageable by their bases; generatrices of these truncated cones have form of straight lines: one line is inclined at angle of 10 to 16 deg and other is inclined at angle of 5 to 8 deg relative to valve axis. Relationships of geometric parameters of generatrices of bodies of revolution to diameter of valve passage area is given in Description. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 3 dwg
