GEAR FOR PURIFICATION AND DISINFECTION OF WATER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: preparation of water for drinkable and service water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: gear has body housing high-voltage and grounded electrodes manufactured in the form of volumetric grates. High-voltage electrode is positioned between grounded electrodes. Chord extension piece meant for effective dissolution of ozone in water is placed beneath electrode system. Inlet of branch pipe feeding water is connected to outlet of ejector pump which mixes purified water with atmospheric air and outlet of branch pipe is linked to distributor that transforms water and air mixture to drop flow. Branch pipe discharging ozone and air mixture is connected to another ejector pump which conducts repeat ozone treatment of water. Branch pipe discharging water treated with electric discharges is connected to intermediate tank from which water is fed for repeat ozone treatment into ejector pump and for further purification. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of purification and disinfection of water, reduced specific energy consumption for purification process. 2 dwg
