FIELD: road building industry. SUBSTANCE: in surfacing of motor road containing asphalt-concrete pavement and base, base is made up of steel corrugated strips which are fastened to each other. Recesses between corrugations or ribs in strips are filled with shear-resistant and non-compressible material. Corrugated strips are fastened to each other in lateral direction by means of bolts or dowels. In longitudinal direction, corrugated strips are overlapping each other so as to adapt to changing length of strips at daily or seasonal differences of temperature and for transmitting shear forces from wheel load to next corrugated strips in direction of vehicle travel. Application of aforesaid embodiment of road base allows for reducing total thickness of asphalt-concrete pavement as well as permitting less transportation expenses for delivery of materials together with reduction of labour-intensity, total building cost and longer service life. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 dwg
