FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: variable-speed drive has drive shaft with adjustable eccentricity and driven shaft, supporting and control gears intermeshed by toothed gear. Supporting gear is connected with driven shaft through Hooke's joint and with casing through transmissions including clutches, toothed meshes and kinematic connections. Transmissions may be provided by clutches and toothed meshes. Control gear is connected with body through mechanism for forming gears mesh contour of adjustable radius, and with transmissions or kinematic connections through clutch disintegrating device. Gear ratio of transmissions is selected so as to provide equal angular speeds of gears. Toothed variable-speed drive is of reversible type and has efficiency equal to that of toothed gears.
