MACHINE FOR TILLING GARDEN STRIPS BETWEEN TREE TRUNKS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture and horticulture. SUBSTANCE: machine has frame and horizontal casing of multiple-roll cylindrical reducer. Casing has thrusts on opposite ends and rotavators mounted on vertical output shafts for rocking relative central vertical input shaft. Mechanism for controlling rotation of rotavators through 180 deg in the process of turning around trunk is made in the form of probe with pusher provided with spring-loaded tip, finger movable along sleeve fixed on frame, and two cams arranged in symmetry with respect to central axis on upper surface of casing. Control mechanism is designed so that upon contacting of probe with tree trunk, finger is brought out of contact with thrust of one half of casing for urging the latter to turn around tree trunk. At the initiation of rotation, cam on the same half slightly rises spring-loaded tip and finger is returned by spring to the initial position in zone of cooperation with other thrust of casing to prevent the latter from rotation through angle exceeding 180 deg.
