CABBAGE HARVESTER Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: cabbage harvester has frame carrying cutting unit and feeding-discharge elevator with central pivotal four-link chain 6, horizontal feeding pivotal four-link chain 7 and inclined discharge pivotal four-link chain 8. Chains 7 and 8 are connected to sides of chain 6. Bottom 9 and hatch closed with cover are mounted on lower links of inclined four-link chain 8 and conveying belt with scrapers and flexible carriers is extending along outer contour of four-link chain 8. Flexible carriers are fixed on transverse frames. Harvester is provided with leaf separator having augers 16, cabbage stem cutting off device and hopper for irregular cabbage heads, and is further provided with leaf separator made in the form of roll with flexible tenons and coils running in opposite directions. Roll is positioned transverse to direction of movement of cabbage heads in transfer zone between feeding section of elevator and cutting unit. Vibrating frames of cutting unit are equipped with combs positioned on their rear parts and having teeth inclined in direction opposite to direction of movement of cabbage heads. Feeding section 7 of elevator has housing. Inclined part of elevator has bottom 11 and pulling chains enclosed in casing, which define cutting table and hopper for dumping irregular cabbage heads. Devices for final processing of cabbage heads are fixed to table sides. Main leaf separator has at least one pair of rolls 16 rotating in opposite directions and disposed lengthwise at outlet end of discharge elevator on rotary frame 15 which is pivotally mounted through flexible members 19,20 in front of each pair of augers 16. Resilient chutes 21 are adapted for discharge of cabbage heads and chutes 22 are adapted for discharge of leaves. EFFECT: simplified construction and reduced injure to cabbage heads. 7 dwg
