FIELD: fish rearing, in particular, keeping of aquarium fish during transportation and storage. SUBSTANCE: method involves putting each fish into separate cell filled with liquid habitat medium, with at least one wall of each cell having been made from optically transparent gas-permeable material; hermetically closing each cell upon putting live fish into it; arranging cells into vessels so that during prolonged transportation or storage fish in adjacent cells can see each other; adding argillaceous minerals, synthetic cation exchangers and carbonaceous sorbents, as well as salts of alkaline or alkaline-earth metals into liquid medium. Antibiotics may be also introduced into liquid medium. EFFECT: simplified and cost-saving method of fish keeping. 7 cl
