FIELD: beds with pneumatic support surface, specially designed for nursing, applicable for supporting of patient with a low loss of air and for provision of other types of therapy for patient lying on the bed. SUBSTANCE: the pneumatic construction has two principal assemblies: the lower pneumatic layer that is selectively controlled for assignment of the main support for the patient, and the second pneumatic layer. The lower pneumatic layer has a great number of zones shifted in the lateral direction. The zones are independently inflated and control patient's rotation. The second pneumatic layer has a great number of zones for setting of optimum contact pressures with the patient's body and various levels of comfort. The second layer may also include sufficiently independent internal chambers for provision of specific kinds of therapy, such as variation of primary pressure of contact zones, as well as patient's percussion and vibration due to pressurization of the internal cells. Supply of compressed air is selectively controlled in each zone of the first and second supporting layer, and support of the patient in the preset conditions is accomplished.
