FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pin with head and threaded stem is screwed into hole made in part, in crack location zone. At least one of turns of stem thread has apex, hollow and upper surface. Generating line of this surface is positioned at angle exceeding 0 deg. relative to plane perpendicular to pin axis. Limiter of pin axial motion contacting the material of part in crack zone is installed between head and stem. Upper edge of turn apex of stem thread is shifted with respect to lower edge of adjacent hollow along pin axis towards head. Part of every turn positioned of external diameter of hole thread is shifted relative to the remaining part in direction of external surface of material. Driving of pin into threaded hole and interaction of its limiter with hole thread give rise to force which draws opposite sides of crack together.
