SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plugging device (10, 100) with longitudinal axis (Z-Z') for elimination of leakage (60) in wall (50) of pipeline or reservoir, additionally containing drive means (12) at one end, plug (14) and tap (26). According to the main distinctive features, at the second end, the device comprises drilling head (28) configured to drill cylindrical hole (52) in the thickness of wall (50) of the pipeline at the point of leakage (60), wherein the plug comprises external thread (24) and beveled chamfer (23) of the end of the external thread, on which external thread (24) ends, wherein the end of the thread is continued on outlet groove (13), and the smooth upper chamfer (21), made with possibility of deforming thread (52) of the end of internal thread (54), wherein said opening (52) is intended for tight closure with plug (14). Invention also relates to a method for plugging leaks (60) on wall (50) of a pipeline or reservoir.

EFFECT: disclosed is a plugging device for eliminating leakage in a wall of a pipeline or reservoir, comprising a drilling part and a threading part, and a plugging method.
