FIELD: transport engineering; hydraulic steering gears. SUBSTANCE: invention provides decrease in force on steering wheel at high antitorque moments of steerable wheels by reducing additional effort created by reactive plungers by cutting them out bypassing working liquid from inter-plunger space (space between reactive plungers) into return main line at maximum pressure in booster. Steering gear has steering wheel mechanically coupled with steering mechanism of worm-ball nut-rack-gear sector type mechanically coupled with steering drive, hydraulic booster pump hydraulically coupled with tank, three-position four-line distributor with bypass valve controlled by working pressure, and working liquid pressure transmitter mechanically coupled through reactive plungers and alignment springs with worm-ball nut steering drive and hydraulically coupled with tank and power cylinder, steering mechanism rack being piston of power cylinder, and reactive plunger disconnection signal lamp electrically coupled with working liquid pressure transmitter. EFFECT: reduced effort on steering wheel. 2 dwg
