FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an agent based on glycols and water that has a water-soluble cross-linked copolymer as a thickener and consisting of, mainly, polymerized units of acrylic or methacrylic acid and 1-15 weight % (as measured for copolymer of polymerized units) of one ester or acrylic or methacrylic acid amide containing C₆-C₂₂-alkyl residue in ester group and one or two C₆-C₂₂-alkylresidues in each amide group. Agent has also, at least, a single surface-active substance taken among the group of alcohol oxylates of the saturated order and arylalkylsulfonates, at least a single corrosion inhibitor and at least a single base compound in order to control pH value. Using these thickeners a deicers for airplanes of type II is obtained and they exhibit the prolonged protective effect, expressed pseudoplasticity of copolymer and the excellent draining property.
