FIELD: sanitary appliances. SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to portable toilets and to toilets for transportation facilities used in touring. Toilet 10 for transportation facilities used in touring has section for seat 12 which incorporates lavatory pan with bottom discharge opening. Toilet 10 also has water source for washing of lavatory pan and removal of sewage through discharge opening into sewage collector vessel 14. Pump 32 delivers water for washing of pan through nozzle 52 which directs washing water into pan. Shut-off valve is connected with outlet nozzle 52 so as to prevent unintentional water release to lavatory pan. Shut-off valve can be used with manually-operated pumps as well as with power-driven pumps. Application of aforesaid embodiment of shut-off valve reduces force required from pump for keeping valve in open position as compared with force needed for initial opening of valve.
