FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines for cars and motorcycles and for power plants generating electric power in remotest depths of regions. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine combines advantages of diesel engine and Stirling engine featuring simplified design. It operates on natural gas, products low noise, does not cause adverse effect on nature and is notable for smooth rotation and high efficiency. Engine has cooled cylinder with piston, compression chamber, heater with wire filling, fire tube, heat shielding hood and crankshaft. Compression chamber serves simultaneously as heater and it communicates with cylinder by hole through which working medium is forced into chamber by piston. heat conveyed to working medium causes rise of pressure which is realized at working stroke of piston. Crankshaft has three 120 deg spaced throws. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 2 dwg
