FIELD: ecology; removal of technogenic accumulation of petroleum products from surface of groundwater. SUBSTANCE: method consists in measuring the levels of petroleum product layer, interface of water-and-oil phases and layer of water by means of sensors placed in well followed by furnishing the measured signals to control units of submersible pumps taking into account scope of operation of each electric pump. Duty factor is measured in working cycle of petroleum product recovery electric pump which is placed at level of phase interface; depth of submergence of water table suppression electric pump together with its sensors is selected depending on maximum scope of operation of petroleum product recovery electric pump and its duty factor in working cycle. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cleaning groundwater due to maximum recovery of petroleum products; enhanced reliability of electrical equipment. 2 dwg
