SUBSTANCE: method used for control and data-metering systems to organize single multiplex channels ensuring joint transmission of information and power by terminal device electrically isolated from line involves transmission of information in forward direction, power transmission by terminal device, and timing of data exchange by means of double-pole pulse voltages with differential voltage levels; information sent in forward direction is coded by combination of levels and their difference signs; transmission of information in reverse direction is effected by modulating current through line at low levels of line voltage generated during information transmission in forward direction.
