SUBSTANCE: method involves taking roentgenograms of animal udder teat for determining teat configuration in the process of engagement of teat with teat liner of teat cup at different phases of machine milking process; approximating produced curves of teat contours and providing mathematical processing to obtain the value of depth to which teat simulator penetrates into teat liner, the value of transverse shear of teat simulator contour, volume and contact area of teat simulator and teat liner.
