FIELD: transport engineering; automobiles. SUBSTANCE: selector gears of gearbox gear cluster are shifted into engagement to provided required gear ratio between drive and power takeoff unit. Gear selector has gear ratio selector shaft with cams, counter-cams and forks to provide gear changing. Release device brings counter-cams out of engagement with corresponding cams of selector shaft, thus providing selection of any gear without gear changing through intermediate gears. Such design of gearbox employing principle of motorcycle gearbox provides easy operation being used in automobile powered by engine with maximum torque at relatively high speed.
