FIELD: transport engineering; electric vehicles with electrical and mechanical brake mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: brake mechanism used in proposed invention has induction motors coupled with wheels and mechanical brake mechanism provided with hydraulic system and mechanical brake. Brake mechanism includes also electronic measuring device connected with wheel rotation frequency pickups. This device puts out reference signal to induction motor control device which controls frequency of magnetic field of stator winding of each motor as function of reference signal value. Brake system is antilocking and is capable of instantaneously and effectively reacting to any driving situations when vehicle driver presses brake pedal.
