SUBSTANCE: invention describes a method of decolorization of copolymers of vinylaromatic monomer and diene synthesized by copolymerization of vinylaromatic monomer and diene with coupled double bonds in the presence of an alkaline metal organic compound-base initiating agent. Method involves treatment of monocarboxylic acid copolymer taken at concentration 0.02-2 mas. p. p. per 1 000 mas. p. p. of copolymer. As a monocarboxylic acid method uses the compound of the general formula R-COOH where R is C₂-C₄-hydrocarbon linear or branched aliphatic, cycloaliphatic or alkene radical and the indicated treatment is carried out with a monoepoxy compound.
