FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to bissilylamine-functionalized conjugated diene, their preparation and their use in the production of rubbers. In addition, the invention relates to rubbers and rubber compositions, as well as to tires produced from them. The following is described: a method of preparing a functionalized conjugated diene of the formula
where R represents a branched unsaturated hydrocarbylene group, wherein the functionalized conjugated diene of formula (Ia) is obtained from the parent conjugated diene of formula (IIa)
which has at least 10 carbon atoms, R1 represents a single bond, R2 and R3 may be the same or different and represent Si(R5)3 where each R5 may be the same or different and represents an organic group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, the method comprises a reaction of a conjugated diene halide of formula (IIIa)
where Hal is selected from fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine atoms, with an amide of formula (IV)
where M represents an alkali metal selected from lithium, sodium and potassium. The following is also described: a functionalized conjugated diene of formula (Ia), the use of one or more functionalized conjugated dienes (Ia) as a monomer in the production of an elastomeric copolymer, the use of an alkali metal salt derivative of a functionalized conjugated diene of formula (Ia) as an initiator for the anionic copolymerization of one or more conjugated diene monomers, a method of producing a copolymer component containing a linked copolymer and an end-modified copolymer, a method of producing an elastomeric copolymer, including exposing a functionalized conjugated diene monomer of formula (Ia) to anionic polymerization conditions, a method of producing an elastomeric copolymer, including exposing a functionalized Ziegler-Natta polymerization condition to a conjugated diene monomer of formula (Ia), an elastomeric copolymer containing repeating units of a conjugated diene (Ia), a rubber production process comprising vulcanization of an elastomeric copolymer, rubber, a rubber composition, a tire component containing a rubber composition and a tire containing a tire component. Conjugated diene monomers can be used in a wide variety of polymerization processes and impart beneficial properties to rubbers, rubber compositions, and tires produced therefrom, such as reinforcement properties, rolling resistance, ice grip, and dry grip.
EFFECT: creation of conjugated diene monomers for the production of synthetic rubbers.
