FIELD: applying coats to tube sheets. SUBSTANCE: coat for tube sheets 1 and cooling tubes 2 of heat exchangers, steam condensers in particular, are made on base of hardening synthetic mixtures. Method consists in cleaning the surface to be coated by means of abrasives, stopping inlets and outlets of tubes by means of removable plugs, applying at least one layer 6 of hardening synthetic coat on tube sheet 1, hardening coat 6 for possible further machining and treating the surface, removing plugs from inlets and outlets of tube followed by applying at least one layer of hardening synthetic coat on at least inlet zone of cooling tubes 2 and hardening; coat 7 of cooling tubes 2 is reactively connected with coat of sheet by application aligned in time; coat of cooling tubes possesses higher elasticity as compared with coat of tube sheet at breaking tension exceeding breaking tension of tube sheet by at least 2%.
