FIELD: protection of heat exchange apparatus against corrosion and fouling; mainly tube sheets and cooling tubes working in sea water; corrosion protection of other shipboard metal structures affected by sea or river water. SUBSTANCE: proposed coat consists of two or more layers on base of hardenable resins with target fillers. Used for proposed coat are modified natural resins which are just by-products of processing solid and/or liquid combustion fossils containing epoxy, hydroxyl, amine, carboxyl and carbonyl groups; coal pyrolysis resin and liquid oil mud may be used by-products of processing combustion fossils. Proposed method includes preparation of surfaces to be protected with coats, application or primer layer, application of subsequent layers after hardening of previous ones; tube caps, tube sheets, inlets and outlets of cooling are covered with at least two layers and weld seams are covered with at least three layers at contact areas. EFFECT: enhanced durability of coats. 24 cl, 2 dwg
