CONSUMED DC CURRENT STABILIZER WITH COMBINATION PROTECTION Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

Abstract RU 2138844 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering; current stabilized supply systems. SUBSTANCE: consumed current stabilizer has transistor control element placed between output bus and output (common) terminal, standard resistor, reference voltage source, metering element and DC current amplifier whose output is connected with control input of transistor control element. Current protection unit and overvoltage protection unit are introduce into current stabilizer circuit. These units are provided with key element with control circuit and actuating element built around thyristor whose control output is placed between series-connected voltage stabilizing diodes connected in parallel with load. In emergency, corresponding protection unit is placed into operation to cover key element. EFFECT: enhanced reliability owing to provision of combination load current and overvoltage protection at stabilizer output. 1 dwg
