METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF FOAM PLASTIC FROM FOAMING AND RESINOUS COMPOSITION AND PLANT FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: production of heat and sound-insulating foam plastic; applicable in construction and ship building and other industries. SUBSTANCE: foaming agent is used in form of composition of triethanolamine salt of lauryl sulfate, orthophosphoric acid and resorcin in water. Produced from said composition is foam by preliminary foaming, and then, resinous composition based on carbamide-formaldehyde resin is introduced into foam. For realization of claimed method, mixing chamber 4 is provided with device for spraying resinous composition, for instance, by spray nozzle 13 connected with vessel 2 filled with composition. Vessel 1 is filled with foaming agent and curing agent, and connected with foam generator 3. Spraying device may be made in form of spray nozzle 13 and compressed air source in form of compressor 5. Under action of compressed air supplied together with foam from foam generator 3, and compressed air form spray nozzle 13, further intensive foaming and mixing of foam with sprayed resinous composition take place. As a result, expansion of foam at the outlet of mixing chamber to molding tool 12 is twice as high as that of foam produced by known methods.
