FIELD: technology of chemical industry, more particularly hydrooxychlorides, more specifically aluminium pentahydrooxychloride useful as coagulants for purifying drinking water and industrial flows and also as binding agent in manufacture of ceramics, refractories and packing of oil- and gas production wells, especially pure product of aluminium pentahydrooxychloride is used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. SUBSTANCE: method comprises preparing aluminium hydroxychlorides of especial purity using bicarbonate technology with present basicity and acidity modulus of 1.0-2.0 from semitransparent amorphous aluminium hydroxide gee containing 50-100 g/l of Al2O3 prepared from sodium hydroalumocarbonate resulting from neutralization in 1:7 ratio at temperature of not higher than 30 C and pH of 11.2-11.8 of purified aluminate solution with bicarbonate solution resulting from gassing of soda solution after carbonization of main alumina product with industrial gas containing not higher than 5% of carbon dioxide decomposed with purified industrial water having temperature of not higher than 30 C to pH of 5-7 and dissolved in hydrochloric acid in preset ratio at 20-30 C. Method makes it possible to obtain especially pure aluminium hydrooxychlorides with preset basicity from 5/6 to 1/3 and with acidity modulus of 1.0-2.0.
