FIELD: electroplating and corrosion protection. SUBSTANCE: electrolyte contains, g/l: bismuth chloride 35-45, cadmium chloride 20-30, Trilon B 40-50, and ammonium acetate 20-30. Resulting coatings are clear, half- bright, and exhibit elevated corrosion immunity: corrosion rate 0.7-1.1 g/sq.m hr. Coatings hold twist at angle 90 deg. with no fracture and do not detach from base after heating at 250 C for 1 hr followed by quick cooling.
