FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: plant has induction machine and synchronous machine both connected to load buses; novelty is that squirrel- cage induction machine is connected to load buses through circuit breaker and to windmill provided with windwheel blade operating mechanism for speed regulation; synchronous machine is also connected to load buses through circuit breaker; it is provided with inertia flywheel mounted on shaft extension and is coupled to internal-combustion piston engine through adjustable disengaging clutch. Plant is also provided with piston engine starting and clutch engaging relay, relay controlling current frequency at load buses, active load power sensor, synchronous-machine active power value and direction sensor, timer, as well as comparator for comparing active power of load with that of synchronous machine; current frequency relay output is connected to engine starting and clutch engaging relay input through timer; comparator output is directly connected to induction machine circuit breaker release and to input of engine starting and clutch engaging relay. EFFECT: improved efficiency and power characteristics of plant under steady state and transient conditions. 1 dwg
