FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: pressurizer accommodates heat- transfer apparatus and may be divided into two sealed cavities one of which has volume equal to at least 2% and not over 7% of coolant volume in pressurizer upon reactor heating up; heat- transfer apparatus and pipe connecting pressurizer with inner space of reactor are placed in this cavity; both cavities are interconnected by means of other pipe one of whose ends is located in upper part of cavity accommodating heat-transfer apparatus and other end, in lower part of other cavity. As an alternative, pressurized may be divided into two parts either by means of longitudinal partition or by shell coaxially installed relative to pressurizer casing. Cavity accommodating heat- transfer apparatus may be also surrounded by other cavity. EFFECT: improved reliability and safety, reduced mass, size, and cost of reactor. 9 cl, 4 dwg
