FIELD: plastic metal working, namely in metallurgical industry branch for straightening rolled stock in roller type machines. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of straightening end portions of rolled stock at providing sign-variable bending of blank moved along lengthwise axis due to applying cross efforts by means of rotary rollers and increasing values of blank camber in its end portions; setting camber values of end portions of rolled blank equal to 2.4-4.6 of its camber in mean portion under respective rollers; providing different values of camber in end and mean portions of blank due to realizing two different-sign bendings and applying constant effort of each bending at changing loading pattern of blank moving between rollers. EFFECT: enhanced rectilinearity of rolled pieces straightened in continuous line due to reducing length of non-straightened end portions of blank without crumpling its profile. 2 cl, 6 dwg
