FIELD: chemical industry, more particularly organometal and fine organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: preparation of 2-alkyl-1,4-bis (dialkoxyalum)butanes of formula I: C2H5, n-C4H9 wherein R is R′; nC4H9, nC6H13, CH2, Si(CH3)3 is which are useful as catalyst complex components in processes of polymerization and oligomerization of olefin and diene hydrocarbons. Method comprises reacting dialkylaluminium chloride and metallic magnesium with mixture of alpha-olefins and dichloroethane in the presence of zirconacene chloride as catalyst. Reaction is carried out in argon atmosphere under normal conditions for 8-12 hours in tetrahydrofuran. Yield of the desired products is 59-34 %. Method makes it possible to prepare 2-alkyl-1,4-bis (dialkoxyalum)butanes of formula I having high regioselectivity. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 14 ex, 1 tbl
