FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing new 1-(alkoxy)-2-phenyl (alkyl)-alumacyclopropanes of general formula I: wherein R is , which comprises reacting alpha-olefin of formula: with alkoxy- dichloroalanes of formula: RO-AlCl2 and metallic magnesium at molar ratio of 10: (10-14): (10-14), respectively, in the presence of tetraisopropoxytitanium, tetrabutoxytitanium or titanocene dichloride catalyst in amount of 2-6 mole % with respect to alpha-olefin, and reaction is carried out in argon atmosphere under normal conditions in tetrahydrofuran for 6-10 hours. Method makes it possible to prepare new 1-(alkoxy)-2-phenyl (alkyl)alumacyclopropanes of formula I having high regioselectivity. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 15 ex, 1 tbl
