FIELD: manufacture of metallized ferrum-titanium-vanadium containing pellets in shaft furnaces at using reduction gas generated by means of carbonic acid conversion of natural gas. SUBSTANCE: method is realized in blast furnaces whose hearth is reconstructed to discharging unit provided with means for taking pellets and testing their metallization degree and whose air heaters are reconstructed to regeneration converters. Pellets are loaded into shaft furnace by means of charging apparatus in flow deflected from wall inclined by angle 50-53 degrees. Installation includes shaft furnace with inclination angle of shaft wall equal to 88-89 degrees. Shaft furnace has charge, reduction, tuyere and cooling zones. Installation also includes regeneration converters for carbonic acid conversion of natural gas having packings of refractory bricks. Ratio of diameter of charge zone and height of reduction zone to diameter of tuyere zone consists 0.92 and (2.05-2.28) respectively. Lateral surface of refractory bricks of packing of regeneration converters has vertical, horizontal and inclined ducts. Axes of inclined ducts cross axes of adjacent vertical ducts. One lateral wall of brick has camber whose value consists 7% of brick thickness. Total area of duct surfaces consists 77-78% of total area of packing surface. Ducts on surface of brick are made with pitch consisting 1/4 of duct length. EFFECT: increased degree of gas usage, possibility of controlling process of metallizing pellets at reconstructing small blast furnaces to shaft ones. 7 cl, 7 dwg, 2 tbl
