FIELD: medical engineering, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: lens for examination of eye retina is biconvex and aspherical. Such lens may be used for prompt primary examination by observing the picture created by lens through microscope. Aspheric surfaces of lens are essentially hyperbolic surfaces for which actual axes coincide with optical axis of lens. Lens is calculated by equations for hyperbolic surfaces with due regard for its operating conditions. Lens is of simplified design. EFFECT: enhanced technological effectiveness. 3 cl, 1 tbl, 1 dwg
