FIELD: separation of liquid heterogeneous media in centrifugal field, applicable for cleaning of oils, fuel and process liquids of mechanical impurities in aircraft, machine-tool, chemical and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal cleaner with periodic discharge of sediment comprises a drum with a rotor mounted on a fixed hollow shaft, fluid delivery and discharge lines with pipe connections, and a sediment collection with a cover carrying a membrane; the collector being positioned above the line. A locking device engageable with the membrane is installed in the lower part of the hollow shaft. The locking device is made in the form of a spring-loaded valve; one end of the spring is fastened to the upper end of the valve, and the other - in the hollow shaft. The membrane has an opening made coaxially to the valve for discharge of sediment, it has a configuration similar to the configuration of the valve lower end face, whose area exceeds the area of the sediment discharge opening. The membrane may be furnished with a tapered pipe connection entering the sediment collector cavity, its smaller end faces the sediment collector bottom and serves as a sediment discharge opening. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of liquid cleaning due to prevention of sediment from getting from the collector into the drum. 2 cl, 1 dwg
