CENTRIFUGAL LIQUID CLEANER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: devices for separation of heterogeneous mixture in centrifugal field into light and heavy liquid fractions at continuous discharge from device; oil refining and chemical industries, mechanical engineering and other industries. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal liquid cleaner includes rotor mounted on vertical axle 1 and housing 3 with thin- layer insert 2 located inside it and unit for control of position of interface of light and heavy fractions of liquid being cleaned. Positioned on end face of housing is open cavity 4 for receiving heavy liquid fraction which is connected with cavity 5 by means of passage; cavity 5 is located between thin-layer insert and housing. Passage has two communicating branches: branch 6 supplying the heavy liquid fraction to point of communication of branches and branch 7 fitted with valve 8 and used for discharge of heavy liquid fraction from point of communication to cavity 4. Axle and rotor of cleaner are provided with passages 9 for delivery of liquid to be cleaned and passages 10 for discharge of light fraction; they are connected with external mains. Device for control of position of interface includes tube 11 whose on end is connected to heavy fraction discharge main 12 and other end is located in heavy liquid cavity; this device is also provided with mixing mechanism having rod 13 with tube 11 secured to it, screw 14, retainer 15, scale and indicator.
