FIELD: transport engineering; construction of transport amphibians with non-tight bodies. SUBSTANCE: transport facility has self-propelled chassis with bumpers and cab and body mounted on frame. transport facility is provided with floats and wheels of large dimensions which ensure its buoyancy. Floats are made in form of step plates located under cab between wheels which have steps. Floats may be made in form of fuel tanks or in form of receivers communicated with pneumatic system. Front and rear bumpers may be also made in form of floats having steps; they may be brought in communication with pneumatic system. Additional floats may be made in form of wheel caps. All floats considerably increase reserve of buoyancy and stability of transport facility without projecting beyond its clearance limits in width, i.e. without interference with traffic. EFFECT: improved technical characteristics due to simplification of construction; ease of maintenance; improved hydrodynamic characteristics; enhanced efficiency; avoidance of adjustment before moving across water obstacle. 20 cl, 9 dwg
