FIELD: paper-and-pulp industry. SUBSTANCE: spent paper stock is disintegrated and wetted to pasty mass. The latter is diluted to form pulp, which is freed of harmful metal compounds by sorption leaching of metal cations from solid phase of pulp involving multiple circulation of liquid phase to achieve equilibrium state in pulp- cation-exchange sorbent system. Purified paper stock is separated from pulp and dehydrated. Exhausted sorbent is regenerated and regenerate containing heavy and nonferrous metal compounds is concentrated.
